Det har dykt upp en ny variant på bedrägeri-mail:
Någon skriver till anställda på UmU och ber om hjälp med privatundervisning.
Bedrägeriet går sedan ut på att bedragaren vill betala i förväg. Betalningen sker då med en falsk check och med ett större belopp än vad man kommit överens om. Bedragaren vill sedan ha tillbaka det överskjutande beloppet till sitt eget konto. Enligt uppgift så ska detta gå att genomföra då banken behöver tid på sig för att avgöra att checken är falsk.

We have noticed a new scam towards UmU:
The scammer writes to people at UmU and asks for help with tutoring.
If the scam continues, the scammer will pay in advance using a false check. The scammer will also pay more than the agreed sum. The scam is possible to perform since it can take weeks before the bank discovers that the check is false. A link to a detailed walk through of the scam:
